Dr da Assunção has extensive experience in the surgical management of orthopaedic trauma around the skeleton including fractures and ligament or tendon ruptures in both the upper and lower limb. Dr da Assunção also has specialist expertise in joint replacement for trauma, treatment of fractures around joint replacements and treatment of late problems arising from previous trauma such as arthritis, malunion or deformity. Orthopaedic injuries very seldom require surgery overnight and most can be safely treated within a few days of the injury. Please contact us to discuss treatment options.
